Jonelle continues to explore the transference of theatre to film by dismantling gender roles through writing, producing, and performing in various adaptations of Shakespearean texts. Projects include: Last Looks (Hamlet), Dearest Enemy (Henry IV pt.1) and Ophelia (Hamlet).
In Sweet Dreams (written by Stephen Ground) alongside Meegwun Fairbrother and Sarah Koehn, the team endeavored to create ‘… a quiet, speculative thriller, at a time when environmental catastrophe seemed inevitable and feelings of powerlessness were commonplace.’
*Sweet Dreams was an official selection of the 2020 Toronto Independent Film Festival, Montreal International Indie Short Film Awards, Vesuvius International Film Festival, the First-Time Filmmaker Showcase, and Rome Independent Prisma Awards.
*Dearest Enemy was an official selection of the 2019 Hollywood North Film Awards (with six nominations) and the 2019 Colorado International SciFi & Fantasy Film Festival (with three nominations)
